How To Get Started
One of the best marketing events you can do as the weather outside gets nice, is to hold a “Patient Appreciation Day” event in the parking lot or at a nearby park. This entails having food and fun activities. Have a BBQ, invite the local police or fire (for child safety seat inspections, children safety cards or other great safety presentations), have someone aligning headlights, carnival activities, and best of all DUNK THE DOC! Have your entire team there, massage chairs, massage therapist giving short 10 minute free massages. Possibilities are endless.
We encourage you to invite other neighboring businesses to participate as well. This helps make the event larger without increasing your work load AND can decrease the costs. Subway, Dentists, Tanning Salons, Hair Salons, Gyms, Restaurants and pretty much any other business is great to have participate. You can then market to their customers to come to the event while getting the business to offer some free or give away items as well. The bigger the better!
Little appreciative things like this go a long way. Patients will notice this and be more willing to reciprocate back to the practice.
If Big is outside of your budget or time, consider other alternatives. Ladies Night, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Veterans Day, or other holidays to do a simple appreciation to your patients. We have done great events that simply offered a free chair massage to existing patients. The options are endless and we have many ideas to help you show your appreciation to your community and patients in a way that is uniquely yours and fits your time and budget constraints.
