Are you letting new patients get away?
The number one question that we get from practices doing any online marketing is, “How can I keep the interested patients from getting away?” It is extremely common when you are advertising online, specifically, if you are advertising within social media, to see tons of interest – so many of our clients have leads coming in left and right – but when it comes time to get in touch with these people to schedule them for their appointment, they disappear! How could it be that in the span of a few hours a patient can go from so interested in your offer that they complete a survey, to having no interest at all?
This all comes down to one key element: You are not closing when interest is at its highest.
Everything about your ad is designed to foster their interest, draw them in, and then create an investment in your offer. However, your window of opportunity to close these patients is very small; once they leave your ad, you might have only a few minutes, at best. People are busy! They have work to do, friends and family to worry about, dinner to cook, dishes to clean, laundry to fold – whatever pain they are experiencing that caused them to click on your ad is going to end up on the back burner of everything else they have to do.
But, to expect that you will be able to call every lead within a few minutes of their submitting their information is crazy! People are online at all hours of the day and night – there is just no way that you could keep up. You might as well pack this online marketing thing up and try something else, right?
WRONG. The solution is SO SIMPLE and, often, FREE. All you need to do is CLOSE the patient when their interest is at its highest – right? So why don’t you have the patient schedule their appointment before they leave the ad? Online Scheduling can very easily solve this problem for you, and eliminates half of the work! Now, when you call them, you’re just confirming the appointment they already made and welcoming them to your practice!
There are hundreds of options out there for online calendars that will integrate with social media marketing – some of them may even integrate with your existing scheduling software. Our favorite is Calendly. It is free, integrates seamlessly with Facebook and Instagram Ad’s, is very simple to use, and displays beautifully. Once an appointment is set you will receive an email with the appointment information, and that appointment time is automatically blocked off in Calendly so that no one else can double book. If, however, you are looking for a program that will integrate directly with your existing scheduling software, I would reach out to your service provider and ask what options they have.
